Diary has been writing and performing guitar pop music in and around New York City. Their new EP, the Cutting Garden, is a collection of songs summoning from dream-states, wistfulness, and the surrealist aspects of nature. There’s a familiar twang of jangly post-punk, tinged with fuzzier, swirling, psychedelia. First single, Plant Life, is acid induced dream-pop that ruminates on the haziest hours of the night, just before dawn.
