Costa Rica has been on a multi-year rise in the World Happiness Report, peaking this year at an astonishing 4th place. So it’s no wonder that the music of Las Robertas, a San José based six-piece psych-rock band, is frequently described with allusions to sunshine and rainbows.  Released today, their new album All We Need Is Now,  is their most radiant yet. A follow up to 2023‘s Owen Morris produced Love Is the Answer, it explores the power of living in the present, overcoming fears and letting go of the past.

 This album leans hard into into the best of ’90s alternative rock, drawing influence from The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Lush, The Charlatans, Primal Scream, Ride, My Bloody Valentine, Chapterhouse, and Slowdive. These classic 90s sounds are filtered through Las Robertas’ signature bright, sunny psych-pop reverberations, resulting in a spiritual album focused on healing and on what truly matters in life.
